Dancong connoisseurs relish this Duck Shit aroma and aren’t fooled by the name. Floral and fruity, this Ya Shi Xiang (or Duckshit Dancong) from the Wudong Mountain in Guangdong Province packs a bouquet of fragrance including honeysuckle, gardenia, iris and lychee, with notes of honey and magnolia. Its sweet taste and the floral fragrace is highly uplifting. Great for cold brew as well.

    (Using Gaiwan, Chinese teapot for shorter brews, repeated a few times)

    Tea / Water

    5 g per 100 ml of water

    0.25 oz per 5 fl oz of water

    Temperature: 100C / 212F

    Brew Time:

    Warm teapot and let it bloom well before first brew
    1st Brew: 45 seconds
    2nd Brew: 40 seconds
    Subsequent Brews: 60 seconds

  • Modern Style

    (Using a mug or a bigger teapot for longer brews, repeated once or twice)

    Tea / Water

    2 g per 100 ml of water

    0.2 oz per 10 fl oz of water

    Temperature: 100C / 212F
